KODAK COMMERCIAL "FROM ZERO TO HERO" (UK 2003) Director's Notes What Kodak wanted was to convey the idea that their new line of pocket cameras create pictures that rival the image quality of “proper” 35mm cameras... So I was bouncing ideas around with a friend, and we came up with the concept that a professional photographer should secretly use a Kodak camera instead of a professional camera for his work - and that no one would be able to tell the difference. We actually shot an “alternative” ending to this commercial - where the model sees herself on a huge billboard on London?s Leicester Square and then jumps on the photographer out of joy... it worked, but would've run for too long. |
